I spent my childhood years in downriver area of Michigan. My family moved to Southern California in the late 1960s where I attended high school. In 1970 I joined the Navy serving 2 years in Vietnam and was awarded both the Viet-nam combat medal and the Viet-nam service medal twice. After my discharge I attended Citrus College in Azusa, California and earned an associates degree in Photography. I worked for a number of years as a professional photographer doing portraits, weddings, and providing photography for local news outlets.
From the 1990s till 2002 I was employed in the motion picture and television industry. I worked as a film extra, did some acting and then moved over to the production side of this industry working as a production assistant and filming location assistant.
